The main goal that International Humanitarian Assistance (IHA) had for this year was to strengthen the partnerships and set up new collaborations. As so in the year 2001 International Humanitarian Assistance became a member of the Youthnet, which is a network of youth organizations in the region of Balkan. The network will run under the support of the European Commission and the Austrian Government.
Also this year IHA became a member of the “Youth Service America?(YSA), which is intends to strengthen the effectiveness, sustainability, and scale of the youth service movement. YSA envisions a powerful network of organizations committed to making service learning the common expectation and common experience of all young Americans. These are very significant events because they reinforce the international collaborations of our organization and also demonstrate that IHA is still regarded as a dynamic organization.
As far as the coming year is concerned, a major preoccupation will be the continuing evolution of the organization and its adaptation to the changing environment. There are some very important developments in the space sector outside IHA that have a bearing on the Agency’s activities, in particular the consolidation quality health care and education programmes. We are facing a busy year, with new programmes starting in Albania, Germany, Kanada, Estonia, Russia, Kosovo and Italy.
I trust that we will raise more funds in the coming year and keep moving forward with the social, medical, education and human rights programs. I am confident that, by working stronger within the organization and with other local and regional organizations, together in a spirit of unity and trust, we shall be able to meet he challenges ahead as we pursue our shared objectives.
