About promotion of “Link Diversity” on media, working team has done these activities (activities that have been define before from National Organization Committee).
National “Arberia” Television has transmitted “Promotion of Link Diversity Project” emission on 9 January 2002. During this emission, have been realized a fact analyze for the most important events of 2001. Emission has been transmitted running the most frequently time of audience and the big number of these (audience) has attend this emission.
Artur Zheji, Politic Commentator have promote in professional way project “Link Diversity” during this emission. About this project, its goal and advantages that our country accure, have been realize and emphasize across publicity spot from Sarajevo Center.
A Publicity Spot has been elaborated and adapted in accordance with the TV emission.
Inside project frame, in the future may would realize more full and specific emission. This initiative comes as a result that the television emissions insure the big number and massive audience.
Promotion of “Link Diversity” with Adult
Foundation “Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation”, has realized these activity for promoting the project of “Link Diversity” with adults.
“28 Nentori”, Shkodra High School
Shkodra activity has been done on “28 Nentori”, Shkodra High School; participant on this activity were 45 students and teachers from this school. This project was welcome from participant and has been evaluated as useful and launched on proper time. Shkodra city is living now a massive demographic movement when many highlanders are moving to live on city; Is very important to make highlanders integrations, establishing the co-operation and communication stakeholders with them; about these issue “Link Diversity” project will be very useful.This activity has been transmitted on three Local Televisions in Shkodra.
“Ismail Qemali”, Tirana High School
Activity with this school students and teachers has been launched in this school aria on 09.01.2002.
The “Link Diversity” project has been welcome from teachers and students that are part of this school. Students team that have been trained on peace keeper, tolerance and agreement field, has consider this project as their activity part with the aim that this will serve on students democratic education in global, on Human Rights issue and on diversity.
“Eqerem Qabej”, Tirana High School
During the promotion of “Link Diversity” program with students and teacher of this school, characteristic was the participation of different group from community as: roma students and students that have come in Tirana (last time) from different rural aria of country. Participants have showed special interest about diversity respect, about culture and different subculture respect during the debate. This meeting (activity) has been filmed and transmitted on Public Albanian Television during informative emission of 10-th January 2002 date.
“Emin Duraku”& “1 Maji”, Tirana Elementary Schools
About the promotion of “Link Diversity” project, two other activities have been done in “Emin Duraku” (Tirana Elementary School) on 11.01.2002 and “1 Maji” (Tirana Elementary School) on 07.01.2002; so, on school aria have been realize “special corner” with project materials (posters, books and leaflets). This kind of exposit has aroused student’s interest and curiosities, which has bring to spontaneous debate between participants about treated issue.
Team work of “Link Diversity” Project Promotion from both schools, have trained moderators and have determinate the problems frame and themes that will be treaded in the future project implementation. These activities have been attended with interest from a big number of students; and had stimulated the fruitful and concrete debate with case from school and team life.
Promotion of “Link Diversity” on schools.
“Sabaudin Gabrani”, Tirana Elementary School
About the promotion of “Link Diversity” project on schools, have been realize three activities on “Sabaudin Gabrani” Elementary school during January (11.01.2002). Participates in these activity were: Kozara KATI , Executive Director of ACHR; Miranda PISTOLI, Coordinator on PR office for Stability Pact; Alba Fishta Executive Director of International Humanitarian Assistance (IHA) and Board Member of the Link Diversity Project, Representatives from Education Ministry and Science Ministry; Representatives from Tirana Municipal; Representatives from Pedagogic Studies Institute; Representatives from mini-Municipally number 7 (seven); Representatives from Parents School Bord; Director and students of “Arben Broci” High School etc.

Activities on “Sabaudin Gabrani” Elementary School have been organize during 11.01.2002, from 9.00-11.00 o’clock. School staff for organizing these activities has made:

Short summer of these activities is:
- “We are children of the Word” Activity
Activity “We are children of the Word”, have been realize from VI-th class students with person in charge Sofie KOLA. Aim of this activity was: Improving solidarity relationship, which respect national diversity. So, has been organized one artistic program with all salutation on different language from VI-th class pupils.
- “Boys and Girls” Activity
This activity “Boys and Girls”, have been realize from VIII-th class students of this school (Sabaudin Gabrani) with person in charge Idajete HASIMJA. Aim of this activity was: Improving friendly relationship about Gender Class Diversity. So, VIII-th class pupils realize a micro drama about Gender Class Diversity. As a result of this we have had: - debate and - idea exchange.
- “Diversity Cultures” Activity
Activity “Diversity Cultures” have been realize from V-class students of “Sabaudin Gabrani” Elementary School with person in charge Violeta XHANARI. Aim of this activity was: Improving the connection between Different Culture Zone of Albania. Students of V-th class had improved the aria with picture, posters, and different sample.
Participants on these activities have been value all the work done and they (participants) express the idea for continuity of these initiatives.
Promotion of “Link Diversity” in Youth Centers and University
IHA and AFPA has organized several activities under the Link Diversity initiative. The main goal of the activities was to introduce this new initiative of the South Eastern Europe to the young people of 3 districts of Albania (Tirana, Shkodra and Vlora). The beneficiaries of this activity were 131 young people (43 young people from Youth NGOs and universities of Tirana, 49 young people from the secondary schools of Vlora and 39 young people form the secondary schools and university of Shkodra).
Young people are introduced to the main objectives of Link Diversity initiative that are:
- to support and when possible to rehabilitate the multiethnic and multicultural society
- to develop towards a democratic citizenship
Young people not only were interested in the project, but they came up with different ideas on how to develop the Link with Albania and within the region. They strongly supported the regional project and showed big interest in receiving more information through the project web side.
As follows are some ideas coming up from the young people that participated in the meetings organized. These ideas show the way in which youth understands the Link Diversity initiative and also what they can do to promote the existent diversities within and outside Albania.
- To set up an education strategy which will include all the ages and strengthen the collaboration with the Government of Albania.
- Regional Round Table inviting children from all the Balkan countries.
- Different ways of information exchange within the region.
Young people stressed out the great importance of media involvement in all the cross border activities that will be organized.
Other then these activities, the volunteer members of IHA and AFPA in collaboration with other youth NGOs like AYC, etc, have distributed posters and leaflets of information in all the Universities of Tirana.
Approximately 600 informative leaflets are distributed, so the minimum 600 students are informed on the Link Diversity project. The poster distribution and other informative materials inform about 5.000 students.
The activity implementation was also supported by the Youth Center “YES” in Tirana, Youth Center “Knocking” in Shkodra and Women Center in Vlora.
Since the activities were successfully supported by the young people we find it important to implement regional projects with the greatly youth involvement. |
